Southampton keen on summer move for Jean Seri
Southampton are reportedly set to rekindle their interest in OGC Nice midfielder Jean Seri this summer.
The Ivory Coast midfielder has been in superb form for Lucien Favre’s side this season and has caught the eye of many, including his former manager Claude Puel.
According to a report from Portuguese news outlet Zero Zero, Primeira Liga outfit Pacos de Ferreira could benefit from any potential sale of their former midfielder with the interest in him intensifying as of late.
The report states that Seri was sold to Nice with a 15% sell-on clause and Pacos are looking to take between €2 million and €4 million in any future sale of the midfielder.
However, if Saints are keen to make their move for Seri, they must act quickly with Nice’s fellow Ligue 1 contenders Marseille also contemplating a move for the midfielder.
Seri has been linked with a move to Saints since last year and has impressed for Nice this season, scoring four goals from midfield.
