Southampton, Celtic, Brighton and Chelsea are all interested in a deal to sign Irish youngster Elvis Azah.

Celtic have taken the Irish youngster on trial but face competition from the Premier League trio.

The Daily Record claims that the 16-year-old, who has also had trials at Everton and Manchester United in the past, has impressed at Celtic.

Both Everton and United were interested in signing the player, but a deal fell through because he did not have Irish citizenship at the time.

The player has since moved to London in an attempt to secure a professional contract at a club.

Azah scored for Celtic’s youth side as he netted against Partick Thistle, as well as assisting another.

The 16-year-old plays predominantly as a winger and has represented Ireland at youth level, despite being born in Ghana.

Premier League duo Southampton and Chelsea are said to be keeping tabs on the player, both clubs are notorious for picking up some of the best young players available.
