# Quiz: How much do you know about Southampton’s season to date?

The 2020/21 season, like any season, has been a rollercoaster of triumph and a descent into disappointment for football fans of all persuasions – and [Southampton](https://readsouthampton.com/2021/01/15/southampton-morning-news-round-up-15th-january-2021/) are no exception.

Despite the [turbulent Premier League season](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11662/12175446/coronavirus-in-football-how-many-players-and-clubs-are-affected-what-criteria-forces-a-postponement) so far, that hasn’t stopped the Saints from marching on. Indeed, the south coast side look increasingly like dark horses for a Champions League spot.

Nearly halfway through the season, the Saints find themselves [in seventh place](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/table) and just three points away from a top four position. To say the Saints are genuinely challenging for a Champions League place is an understatement – and they haven’t achieved that status through blind luck.

Consistency, grit and a helpful upset or two have been integral factors to the Saints’ spell of fine form despite a [quiet transfer window](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/southampton-fc/transfers/verein/180/plus/0?saison_id=2020&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=w) so far this month.

However, the likes of summer window arrivals [Theo Walcott](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/theo-walcott/leistungsdaten/spieler/33713) and [Ibrahima Diallo](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ibrahima-diallo/leistungsdaten/spieler/413032) are increasingly holding down spots in Hasenhuttl’s side and have undoubtedly been a lift for the Saints.

To that end, test your knowledge of the season so far, including its results, scorers and new faces…
