# Djenepo and Cedric return to training

Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed that Moussa Djenepo and Cedric Soares are back in full training with the first-team squad.

Both players have been sidelined since September, but it seems they are finally nearing returns to action.

The duo participated in a light session, as per Hasenhuttl’s comments in a pre-match press conference on Thursday, shown on the [club’s official website](https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2019-10-31/press-conference-part-one-ralph-hasenhuttl-manchester-city-southampton-premier-league-201920).

Djenepo has been out since exacerbating a tendon problem against Sheffield United on September 14, while Cedric has been absent since withdrawing from the starting line-up at Tottenham Hotspur on September 28.

Djenepo’s return, in particular, will come as a big boost given that Saints haven’t won a Premier League game without him in the side.

The team has looked bereft of creativity and attacking imagination since the Malian’s injury. Ahead of what will undoubtedly be a must-win game against Everton, his availability will be welcome.

Cedric, too, has emerged as a key player this season, and he’s been a big miss, with Yan Valery having struggled since coming back into the starting line-up.
