Southampton have [confirmed](https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-12-21/announcement-craig-fleming-southampton-first-team-assistant-coach) they have promoted Craig Fleming, with the former Norwich defender having joined manager Ralph Hasenhüttl’s staff on an initial deal until the end of the season.

Fleming becomes a first-team assistant coach, having previously worked alongside Radhi Jaïdi in the club’s Under-23’s set-up.

Fleming joined the Saints in 2015 as the club’s Under-18s head coach, and has proved to be a key figure in the development of many of the club’s talented youngsters.
