Liverpool striker Danny Ings is on his way down to Southampton ahead of the potential completion of a season-long loan move.
According to claims from James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, the forward is en route to Southampton following their last-minute swoop to land the Reds man.

Ings has been seeking an exit from Anfield throughout the course of the transfer window, with first-team assurances under Jurgen Klopp not guaranteed ahead of the forthcoming season.
Southampton have requested an extension in order for them to complete the deal, following the 5pm deadline having been passed.
It’s believed that Ings will join the Saints on an initial loan deal, with the club having a view to make the move a permanent one come next summer.
