# Saints could use Gabbiadini to lure Anderson from Lazio

Southampton could have the upper hand in a deal for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson, with the Italian side interested in Saints’ forward Manolo Gabbiadini, according to Italian news outlet Il Tempo, as translated by [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/southampton-upper-hand-e40m-brazilian-part-striker/).

The Serie A side are said to value Anderson at 40 million euros.

However, Lazio’s director of football Igli Tare is interested in signing Southampton forward Gabbiadini, who is apparently valued at 20 million euros, and the Italian could be used in a swap deal.

Southampton are desperate to make some quality additions to their squad this summer after a poor season saw them finish 17th in the Premier League, only narrowly avoiding relegation.

The Lazio star has also been subject to interest from Chelsea, West Ham and Watford this summer.

It was [reported](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/969234/West-Ham-transfer-news-Lazio-reject-33m-bid-Felipe-Anderson-rumours-gossip) on Monday that Lazio, who missed out on Champions League qualification to Inter Milan on the last day of the season, rejected a £33million from West Ham for Anderson’s signature.

[Reports](https://talksport.com/football/west-ham-united-fc-transfer-news-felipe-anderson-set-showdown-talks-lazio-amid-possible) today have suggested that the Brazilian is set for showdown talks with his club.
