Southampton are among a host of clubs interested in signing Dundee defender Jack Hendry, according to the Daily Mail.
The youngster has been in impressive form out in Scotland and has caught the eye of many Premier League clubs, with his signature now being chased by the likes of Southampton.
Hendry played for Wigan Athletic until last summer and has since gone from strength to strength with Dundee. He has cemented his place in the club’s starting line-up and has been turning in some incredibly mature displays at the back.
It’s stated that Dundee are in something of a spot of bother in terms of finances, meaning that Hendry’s future will be a talking point for those at the club given his promise and re-sale value.
However, if Saints are to secure the promising defender’s services, they will need to fend off competition from elsewhere.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace are both said to be interested in Hendry.
