Southampton set to miss out on Karamoh deal
Southampton were reportedly leading the chase for Yann Karamoh a couple of weeks ago, but it looks as though the Caen winger has his heart set on a move to Fiorentina this summer.
According to a report from L’Equipe today, as cited by Sky Sports, the Frenchman has been subject to a €3m bid from the Serie A outfit in recent times. However, Caen are keen to take at least €10m from his sale and have therefore knocked back Fiorentina’s initial offer.
Karamoh caught the eye of many last season, bursting onto the scene for Caen and establishing himself as one of Ligue 1’s brightest talents. He notched five goals and four assists in what was a successful campaign for him.
A host of clubs are interested in Karamoh, but the lure of playing for a club as prestigious as Fiorentina appears to have turned his head.
Everton, Newcastle and West Ham have also been linked with moves for the winger.
