# Southampton ready to pay £20m for Juventus forward

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-stoke-city-southampton-ready-pay-e25m-young-ace/), Southampton are ready to pay £20 million to sign Juventus striker Simone Zaza this summer.

The report says that Southampton, Leicester, and Stoke City are all keen on the striker, which means Southampton do have competition for his signature.

However, Juventus are thought to want a fee of around #23m for the striker. This means that Southampton would reportedly have to pay £3 million more than they were planning to, which is not a massive difference in fees.

With Graziano Pelle’s situation at the club not clear yet, the club may be forced to sign another striker this summer, with Zaza fitting the bill.

The 24-year-old striker managed to score eight goals in just over 900 minutes of game time last season for Juventus, showing his form in front of goal.

Zaza looks to be seeking a move away from Juventus, with Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala, and Mario Mandzukic ahead of him in the pecking order in Turin.
