# Saints enquire for £19m Napoli forward

According to [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3614632/Napoli-want-19million-misfit-Manolo-Gabbiadini-Crystal-Palace-Stoke-Southampton-express-striker.html), Southampton have made an enquiry about Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

Southampton, Crystal Palace and Stoke are all thought to have enquired about the forward ahead of a potential summer move. Gabbiadini could be looking for a way out of the club, with his chances limited.

With Gonzalo Higuain scoring at such a consistent rate, it has been hard for Gabbiadini to stake his claim for a spot. This now looks like it could lead him toward a move to England.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals throughout the course of the season, despite not having much game-time. Southampton are thought to be interested as they look to bolster their options ahead of a Europa League campaign next season.

The Italian international is thought to be valued at £19m by Napoli, a fee which would eclipse Southampton’s record transfer. Would Ronald Koeman be willing to spend big this summer?
