# Southampton 3-0 West Brom – Rating the Saints

It was a wonderful day on the south coast for the Saints as they enjoyed one of their best days as a football club for a considerable amount of time.

With the shock announcement of £4 million signing Charlie Austin being confirmed at mid-day, Southampton went on to outplay a defensively well structured West Brom side to come away with all three points in a comprehensive 3-0 victory over the Baggies.

A set-piece brace from James Ward-Prowse and a second half goal from the game-changing Dusan Tadic were enough to comfortably see off Tony Pulis’ men as Saints climbed above them in the table.

Here is how I rated the Southampton players in their impressive victory.
