# Koeman delighted with goalscorers Ward-Prowse and Tadic

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has been the latest to [praise](https://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20160116-ronald-koeman-james-ward-prowse-southampton-3-0-west-brom-2905390.aspx) the impact of his two goal scorers from his side’s 3-0 victory over West Brom on Saturday, explaining just how crucial James Ward-Prowse’s brace and Dusan Tadic’s late goal was for the team.

> He’s training a lot on that quality, and he’s a good player for free-kicks, corner kicks, and finally he scored today. It was a very important goal, fast in the game, but that makes the total difference today.

Ward-Prowse opened the scoring after just five minutes with an audacious free-kick from 25 yards out to bag his first Southampton goal since last April. However, it did not take long for the promising youngster to add to his tally for the afternoon, as he calmly converted a penalty after fellow academy graduate Matt Targett was hauled down in the area.

> It’s a big difference between 1-0 up and 2-0 up. The belief of the opponents is not so big then, after 2-0. If it’s 1-0 it’s a different feeling, and that makes everybody still more comfortable.

Scorer of the third goal, Dusan Tadic, was also on the receiving end of praise from his manager after he scored his second goal in as many games; both from the bench. Tadic latched on to an excellently weighted pass from Steven Davis to power the ball beyond Boaz Myhill in the West Brom goal to make it 3-0 and send the Saints away with yet another three points.

> Again, he had the same impact what he showed against Watford and that’s really the competition what we need and, ok, if you get the chance you have to show it.
