# Wanyama to miss Palace and Watford

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is set to miss his side’s next upcoming two competitive fixtures after he picked up his second red card of the season in Saints’ 1-0 defeat to Norwich last Saturday.

Wanyama made two late challenges at Carrow Road to naively put Saints down to ten men as Alexander Tettey punished their mistakes with a goal to give Southampton their fourth consecutive loss on the road.

Due to Wanyama’s earlier red card against Bournemouth, which he earned in a similar fashion to his dismissal at Norwich, the Kenyan midfielder will miss two games for Southampton.

Wanyama will be out of Saints’ FA Cup third round tie with Crystal Palace and will serve the final game of his suspension against Watford next Wednesday evening.

However, Saints will be boosted by the return of Oriol Romeu from suspension as it seems as though the Spaniard will partner Jordy Clasie at the heart of the Southampton midfield whilst Wanyama will watch from the stands.
