Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has praised Jurgen Klopp’s impact on Liverpool since he took over the Merseyside club.
The former Dortmund manager took over from Brendan Rodgers and has had a positive impact on the Reds, masterminding 3-1 and 4-1 wins over Chelsea and Manchester City respectively. Both of those wins were away from home.
Southampton have already played Liverpool this season when they travelled to Anfield and earned a respectable 1-1 draw when Rodgers was still in-charge. Christian Benteke opened the scoring before Sadio Mane levelled matters.

However, Mane was then sent off for a second bookable offence in the dying moments of the match. The Senegal will be hoping for a much more disciplined display from himself tomorrow at St.Mary’s.
Koeman has spoken in the build-up to the game about how much of an impact Klopp has had on Liverpool.
I think the new manager (Klopp) brought a lot of energy, a lot of spirit to the team.
I think at the moment it’s more difficult to beat them. They play really offensively and try to play with high pressing.
He has also spoken about how little a difference there is between the two sides.
We know we have the experience from one month ago against them and I think Liverpool is strong, but Southampton is also strong, and I think they know there is not a big difference between both teams and I think the details are very important for tomorrow.
