# Southampton’s top 5 players of the season so far

Twelve games in to the Premier League season, Southampton find themselves where they left off last time round, in 7th place. It was a tough start for Ronald Koeman’s men as it was apparent that the test of European football was too much strain on a squad that appeared to be susceptible to errors and letting their heads drop.

However, months on with more solidity and more focus, Southampton are flying high. Boasting an unbeaten away record so far as well as being Capital One Cup Quarter Finalists, The Saints are enjoying a very good run at the moment.

As a whole, the side has produced good performances and has battled well in every single game that has been played, but as usual in a Premier League season there are obvious stand-out performers.

In this slideshow, I will be assessing the five best Southampton players so far this season and just why they’ve been so impressive.
