# Saints scouts in attendance for young Italian midfielder

It has been reported that scouts of Southampton [were](https://metro.co.uk/2015/11/16/chelsea-scouting-stefano-sensi-ahead-of-potential-transfer-report-5504068/) in attendance for Italian Serie B side Cesena’s most recent game against Bari to watch the promising young midfielder, Stefano Sensi.

The 20-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from clubs across the world, with AC Milan taking a big interest in the youngster.

Also in attendance alongside Southampton from Cesena’s match were scouts from Chelsea, Fiorentina, Roma and of course, AC Milan.

If Southampton are to make a move for Sensi in January or next summer, the asking price will not be cheap. It is rumoured that Cesena are looking to sell the starlet for no less than £7 million if a club is looking to acquire Sensi.

The young midfielder has been likened to PSG and Italy midfielder Marco Verratti by many for his tenacity and vision whilst in possession of the ball – a trait that Saints boss Ronald Koeman appears to admire judging by his previous signings.
