# Pelle – I miss Italy

Southampton powerhouse Graziano Pelle has [admitted](https://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/11/pelle-i-miss-italy-but-im-fine-at-southampton/?) that he is missing his home Country, Italy.

Pelle has not played in Italy since he left Parma in 2013, although the last time he actually played for the club was in 2012. He has now finally admitted to missing his homeland; despite liking life in the South Coast of England.

He also believes that the Serie A is starting to grow and gain recognition for its talent; especially with the performances of Juventus in recent seasons. Pelle Serie A career never really kicked off after early promise. His career really kicked off in Holland when he scored 55 goals in 66 games for Feyenoord.

That earned him a move to Southampton in the Premier League, where he is currently thriving. 12 goals last term and already nine this season has him held in high regard by the Saints faithful and the big Italian has said he is content at the club.

Speaking about the Italian national team and missing Italy, Pelle said this:

> My contract runs out in 2017.

> Italy is a wonderful country and I miss its beauty in general.

> The league was in decline but it is improving at the moment and that’s obvious from abroad.

> Serie A used to be snubbed in other countries but thanks to Juventus’s performances in the Champions League and other Italian efforts in Europe, we are returning to the standard of Italian football that we used to know.

> It is becoming one of the world’s best leagues once again.

> I’m nostalgic for Italy but I’m happy in England, we’ll see what happens.
