Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has continued his fine goalscoring form this season after he netted the winner for Northern Ireland last night against Latvia.
The Northern Ireland captain scored the only goal of the game at Windsor Park as they played their first home match since qualifying for next summer’s European Championships.
Davis said recently that he wanted to continue and add to his four previous strikes for club and Country. He did just that. He made it five last night as he bundled the ball home ten minutes into the second half. It was his fifth goal in as many weeks for club and Country.

His two Southampton goals came against Chelsea away and Bournemouth at home. His three Northern Ireland goals came in two games. Two against Greece in a 3-1 win and then the goal last night against Latvia.
Before he had scored against Chelsea earlier on in the season, he hadn’t scored a competitive goal for almost two years for club and Country so I am not quite sure where all his goals are coming from recently.
