Saints winger Sadio Mane recovered from a minor knock he picked up in training to score a late goal for Senegal which earned his Country a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their 2018 World Cup qualifying play-off against Madagascar.
The second leg comes on Tuesday, with the winner progressing through to the qualifying group stages of the African qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
Madagascar looked like they were about to produce one of the shock results of the week as they took a 2-0 lead. However, Senegal pulled one back with 19 minutes to go and then Southampton man Sadio Mane popped up late on to make it 2-2 and give Senegal a chance in the second leg.
Mane was reported to be a doubt before the game after picking up an injury in training but recovered just in time to be able to play, and score. He is expected to also start on Tuesday before returning to England and Southampton.
