# Southampton after Bundesliga striker?

Ronald Koeman has been [linked](https://www.clubcall.com/southampton/saints-eye-euro-transfer-targets-1788583.html) with a move for Bundesliga striker Luc Castaignos.

The 23-year-old Dutch striker has been touted with a move to Southampton after a Saints scout was reportedly at his last match for Frankfurt to see him play. He has already scored four goals in just six Bundesliga games this season since signing for Frankfurt in the summer from FC Twente.

He had scored 37 goals in 94 matches for the Dutch outfit before earning his move to the German top flight and has started in very good goalscoring form with his four goals already.

It is unlikely that a January move would be on the cards for Southampton as he only joined Frankfurt in the summer and they would be extremely unwilling to let go of their star new singing so early into his German career.

Do you think that Castaignos would be a good signing for Southampton to back up Graziano Pelle?
