Sadio Mane picks up injury on international duty

Southampton winger Sadio Mane has reportedly picked up an injury whilst on international duty for Senegal and is already a doubt for their next fixture.

Mane is suspected to have sustained a foot injury whilst training with his national side and this could be very worrying news for both his national coach and Southampton manager Ronald Koeman.

The electric winger has been in fine form for Southampton this season and has been scoring just as many goals as he is setting up. He has really kicked on from his good form last season and taken his game to the next level, despite have his off games this season.

Manchester United have already been linked with a move for the Saints star following his stellar form this season. However, Saints manager Koeman made it clear in the summer that he was adamant he would not let any more of his star players leave the club.

With Southampton facing Stoke at home after the break, Koeman will be praying that Mane can get over his injury and return to action for his club side in the Premier League.
