AC Milan have reportedly stepped up their interest in the race for the signature of Palermo’s Italian ace Franco Vazquez.
The 26-year-old midfielder was linked with a move to both Southampton and Tottenham in the summer, as well as AC Milan. However, it seems now like it the Italian giants who are going to go back in for him in January.
They are readying a £15m bid for the Argentine born Italy international, yet, Palermo have already released a statement declaring that Vazquez was not for sale at any price during the winter transfer window.
Palermo did admit that it would be unlikely for them to be able to keep their star man; with some of Europe’s biggest clubs circling ready to swoop in with a move. Ten goals from midfield last season earned him rave reviews and could be a good goalscoring midfielder for the Saints?
