# Yoshida looking for cup glory with The Saints

Southampton defender Maya Yoshida has [claimed](https://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/yoshida-massive-opportunity-to-win-a-cup-2770913.aspx) that his side have a huge chance to win the Capital One Cup this season after their 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

The Saints booked their ticket to the quarter finals for a very exciting match in prospect against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, who will also be out for a good cup run.

Yoshida, who scored the opener for The Saints against Aston Villa, has expressed his optimism ahead of the clash with Liverpool and is hoping to go all the way with Southampton this time round.

> It’s a massive chance to go to another round, because last night Chelsea lost, Arsenal lost and big teams lost and now we have much, much big chance to go to get another title.

When talking about Ronald Koeman’s take on the Capital One Cup this campaign, Yoshida spoke of how the Southampton boss is urging his players on to do all they can for cup glory.

> The gaffer always speaks to us that the cup is very important as well as the Premier League campaign and also we think it is very important as well. It’s always good to get a title and I think we have a massive opportunity.

How far can Southampton go in the Capital One Cup this year?
