Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that both Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez will both miss Sunday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
Shane Long has been missing since the international break having picked up an injury against Poland whilst playing for Ireland. It was originally thought that he could be back for this weekend’ game, however, Koeman has now ruled him out of the clash.
Jay Rodriguez is a more recent injury and has missed Southampton’s last few games in the league and cup and was again, like Long, expected to come back into contention for the game against Bournemouth. However, again, like Long, Koeman has ruled Rodriguez out of the clash.

The only other injury concern for Southampton is the long-term absence of Fraser Forster, who has been out for this season so far and is not expected back until the new year.
One positive for Ronald Koeman’s squad is that Sadio Mane returns from his one game suspension to feature on Sunday.
