According to reports yesterday, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is keeping an eye on Welsh midfielder Joe Allen ahead of a potential January swoop for the Liverpool man.
Joe Allen joined Liverpool for £15m from Swansea City in 2012 and has failed to live up to the hype. He has since become a bit-part player for Liverpool and scored just two league goals since his arrival at Anfield.
With new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp coming in at Liverpool, it looks like his game time could be lessened. He was subbed off at half-time by the German during Liverpool’s Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan last week and it looks like he could be set for a move away in the January window.

Joe Allen is still just 25-years-old and could still yet have a lot to offer a Premier League side and could be a shrewd signing for Southampton, Stoke or Leicester; with all three clubs looking for the Welshman’s signature.
Would you take Joe Allen at Southampton?
