# Jordy Clasie set to return as Saints welcome Foxes

Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie is set to make his return to competitive football for Southampton as he prepares to make his Premier League debut against Leicester on Saturday.

The Dutch midfielder signed for Southampton in July for a fee in the region of £8 million, but is yet to play a Premier League match.

Clasie started his first competitive match for The Saints against Vitesse Arnhem in the first leg of the Europa League 3rd qualifying round, before he limped off with a hamstring injury in the second half.

Since then, Southampton have played 8 Premier League matches and will be hopeful to feature Clasie as they take on Leicester at St. Mary’s stadium on Saturday.

The former Feyenoord man got a valuable 60 minutes under his belt as a weakened Southampton took on Ajax in a closed-doors friendly, running out 2-1 victors over the Dutch side.

The return of Jordy Clasie will be hugely beneficial to Ronald Koeman and his Southampton side as we will have yet another option in the midfield; leaving us with 6 to choose from. Koeman is expected to leave Clasie on the bench to start off with against Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester; but it is very likely that Clasie will play some part in the match.

How do you think Clasie will get on in a Southampton shirt?
