Graziano Pelle has won Southampton’s player of the month award after a sterling start to his second Premier League campaign with the club.
Pelle claimed the award for the month of September after displaying tremendous performances as well as goals and assists to match it. The big Italian forward already has 5 goals and got 2 assists to his name, and has shown just how pivotal he is to the Southampton side for the season ahead.

When speaking about his award, the 30-year-old striker had this to say: “I’m really happy and proud and I hope to win many others because that means I’m doing well, The most important thing is the team because you don’t win by yourself, so I have to say thanks to everybody – the supporters and my teammates.
Pelle continued, “In this month as a team we found our best form. We are doing well. We won a game at home and maybe it was not easy for the fans to judge the best this month. I don’t want to say it’s down to myself. I give my best and I’m working hard and I’ve got a reward.”
When talking about the support that Southampton fans had shown him, Pelle went on to say: “They always support me in a good and a bad moment and my job is always to try and score goals, make them happy and then go home after the game with everybody enjoying a victory for Southampton.”
The Italian forward has already scored this month, with a brilliant finish away at Chelsea in Southampton’s 3-1 win and will be hoping to continue his September form into October in the hope of bagging many more goals for Southampton.
