Southampton graduate Sam Gallagher, currently on loan to MK Dons, scored on his England Under-20’s debut against Holland in the Mercedes Under-20 Elite Cup.
England beat Holland 3-1 in the Cup and Gallagher, making his first appearance at this level, scored one of England’s three goals.
Sam Gallagher is currently out on loan to Championship side MK Dons for the rest of the season and scored the third of the three goals in the superb win.
First half goals from Birmingham’s Reece Brown and Manchester City’s Brandon Barker had given England a half-time lead. Sam Gallagher then added England’s third with just 11 minutes to go to secure the win.
Fellow Saints academy product Harrison Reed also featured in the match and both players will likely be in the England side that face Turkey Under-20’s Saturday lunch time.
England then face Germany, the hosts of the tournament, in the last game next Tuesday.
