Victor Wanyama has expressed his desire to put his transfer saga regarding his move to Tottenham in the summer behind him.
Near the end of the transfer window, Victor Wanyama reportedly submitted a transfer request to Southampton, asking for a move to Tottenham to rejoin with former manager, Mauricio Pochettino. However, Southampton stood firm and kept hold of their man.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Wanyama said: “I just don’t want to remember that situation. Yes, sure, now I’ve forgotten what happened. I’m now progressing on my club and it’s been good, so I’m looking forward to putting in good performances.”

When speaking about the club’s historic win over Chelsea, Wanyama told the Daily Echo that it was “one of the best away wins”.
Wanyama has enjoyed a decent start to the campaign with Southampton, showcasing just how important he is to the side with a good performance against Chelsea, and ever since he has come back into the side; he has looked as focussed as ever.
