# Saints set to offer star super deal.

Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin is set to be offered a huge deal in the near future with the hope of keeping the much thought of french man at the club.

Rumours have surrounded the midfielder in recent times with clubs such as Barcelona and Premier league rivals Arsenal said to be interested.

Schneiderlin is currently under contract until 2017 but his new deal is said to be worth over double his current £30,000.

It is also rumoured that any deal offered to the 25 year old will include a buy-out clause in the region of £25 million to try and scare off any potential suitors.

Despite scoring only three goals in the Premier League so far this season Schneiderlin remains a key player in the Saints squad and his continuation would be made more important were his current side to gain European football.

If the offer is accepted by Schneiderlin it will make him the highest paid player at the south coast side.

Talks have also been made with the currently injured Jay Rodriguez as Southampton aim to prevent a mass exodus of players such as the one last season which saw 6 key players depart.
