Manolo Gabbiadini courted by Sampdoria
Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini is reportedly a target for Serie A side Sampdoria this summer.
The Saints attacker has been heavily linked with a return to Italy in recent months and a whole host of top-flight teams have been touted as potential destinations.
According to fresh claims from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Gabbiadini is a target for Sampdoria, with the club looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
Gabbiadini played for Sampdoria from 2013 until 2015 and enjoyed his time with the club, scoring plenty of goals from all across the front three. His form earned him a move to Napoli in the summer of 2015.
The 26-year-old has scored five goals in the Premier League this season for Saints, including the decisive strike in their vital 1-0 win away at Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Gabbiadini has been linked with the likes of Lazio, Bologna and Torino in recent weeks, but it seems Sampdoria will also make efforts to re-sign their former talisman.
