Southampton face perhaps the biggest game in their recent history on Tuesday night as they make the trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City.
It truly is a game of immense magnitude. Saints are currently sat outside of the bottom three on goal difference, level on points with 18th-placed Swansea, with both sides having accumulated 33 points so far this season.
Southampton head into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw at Everton, with Tom Davies’ 96th-minute, deflected effort denying Saints their first away win since February after Nathan Redmond opened the scoring.
Swansea come into the game following a defeat, however. Ryan Fraser’s deflected strike helped Bournemouth to a 1-0 win over Carlos Carvalhal’s side.
Mark Hughes will be without Maya Yoshida for the trip to Wales, with the Japanese international missing out through suspension. Steven Davis is likely to remain sidelined, and Mario Lemina will hope to feature after coming off with an injury at Everton.
Here’s how we expect Saints to line up against Swansea on Tuesday night.
