Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu has been previewing his side’s final three games of the season.
Speaking to the Daily Echo following Saints’ 2-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, the Spaniard outlined what he expects from his teammates as they approach a vital, final period of the campaign.
Saints take on Everton and Swansea away from home before welcoming Manchester City to St Mary’s Stadium on the final day of the season; a run-in which Romeu is hoping to avoid defeat in.

The 26-year-old discussed how many points he feels Saints will need to secure their Premier League status ahead of next season, stating that at least seven points from a possible nine should keep the team afloat.
We make our maths but I think we need to win two of our three games and draw the last one. That will make us safer because we don’t want to think of other results, we have to think of ourselves.
It’s been a difficult season for Romeu and Saints, with a string of underwhelming performances leaving the club at serious risk of relegation down to the Championship.
Southampton currently sit in 18th place but are just one point adrift of Swansea, who are narrowly above the drop zone.
