Norwich looking to extend deal for Harrison Reed
Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed could be staying at Norwich, where he is currently on loan, Daniel Farke has revealed.
This could be on a permanent basis, or on another loan deal for next season, though Farke does not specify.
Reed is currently on loan to Norwich until the end of the season from Premier League side Southampton.
His future could depend on Southampton’s league status next season, with the Saints currently battling relegation from the top-flight.
If Southampton are relegated to the Championship, the chances of Norwich being able to bring Reed back will be slim.
However, Southampton could be tempted into letting him go if they are able to retain their top-flight status.
Speaking to the Pink’Un, Farke said this:
I always think about the futures of my players,
There is no secret Harrison Reed has played a really good season. He is able to play in a number of different positions and for such a young lad he has become pretty important.
I like to work with him and would like to work with him further on.
It is not in our hands because it is just a loan. We have to wait a little bit and see what the thoughts are of Southampton.
But, yes, I would be happy to work with him and like him a lot.
The report also claims that Reed is open to a permanent move to Norwich, having enjoyed his loan with the club.
