Maya Yoshida set to be out for five weeks with knee injury
Speaking at his press conference ahead of Southampton’s trip to Burnley this weekend, Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino confirmed that defender Maya Yoshida is set to be out for five weeks with a knee injury.

The Japanese international was a mainstay in the Saints side this season, starting 18 league games, although he has been on the bench for the last three league ties.
The 29-year-old reportedly twisted his knee in training and as such, he won’t be in action until early April.
Wesley Hoedt and Jack Stephens are likely to continue as Pellegrino’s first-choice pairing with Jan Bednarek taking Yoshida’s place on the bench,
Southampton currently sit in 18th place and will be desperate to pick up a vital victory at Turf Moor, one that could see them move out of the relegation zone and as high as 14th place, depending on results elsewhere.
