Monaco yet to receive Southampton bid for Carrillo
Southampton have been linked heavily with Monaco striker Guido Carrilo, however, they are yet to make an initial bid.
According to L’Equipe, via InsideFutbol, Southampton are yet to submit a bid for the Argentine, with Southampton attempting to bolster their attacking options.
The Saints have apparently held talks with the player’s representatives, in an attempt to get Carrilo to St Mary’s.
The Argentine has only made two league starts this season, and is desperate to leave Monaco. He is tempted by the offer of moving to England and the Premier League with Southampton.
Southampton have had numerous troubles in front of goal this season. Even with the rotation of strikers such as Charlie Austin, Shane Long and Manolo Gabbiadini, the Saints have struggled to get a consistent goalscorer going.
However, Maurico Pellegrino will be hoping that Carillo will be able to deliver the good for Southampton. Especially with his job security at a low.
