Southampton linked with West Brom youngster Tyler Roberts
Southampton are being linked with a move for West Brom youngster Tyler Roberts.
According to a report from the Mirror, the Saints are one of several clubs keen to land the promising forward. Roberts has impressed at youth level with the Baggies and has showed plenty of potential.
It’s stated in the report that Roberts could be primed for his first ever senior Wales call-up, with scrutinised manager Chris Coleman understood to be a big fan of the 19-year-old.
Roberts is currently plying his trade in League One. He is enjoying a season-long loan spell with Walsall, and has scored four goals already.
Southampton boast a good reputation for blooding young players and offering them a pathway into the first-team, and it looks as though Roberts is a player firmly on their radar.
However, if Saints are to secure the services of the young striker, they will need to fend off plenty of competition.
Swansea, Watford and Sunderland are all said to be keen.
