Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic says that he wants to impress the fans at St. Mary’s this season.
The Saints have been criticised for their lack of goals and excitement this season, having scored in two of their six games at home.
Mauricio Pellegrino’s side have scored five goals in six games at St. Mary’s – with three against West Ham and two against Newcastle.
Manolo Gabbiadini is the current top scorer with three, although no other player has managed more than one goal thus far.
Tadic, himself, has one goal to his name this season. He scored a penalty against West Ham in a 3-2 win in August.
Speaking to Southampton’s website, Tadic said this:
We like to play in front of the home crowd, although we haven’t taken as many points as we’d like at home this season.
But we’ll try to change that and try to make our fans happy. It is too early to think about the league table, every club is close to each other. But as the season goes on there is more emphasis on the table and then we’ll look at where we stand and where we want to be.
