Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino claims that his former club Alaves owe him around €500,000 in unpaid bonuses and the Argentinian plans to pursue the case further.
As reported by Ed Malyon of the Independent, the Spanish side have denied claims that they owe their former manager any money at all and as such, Pellegrino is considering taking legal action.
The new Saints boss claims to have had a cup bonus written into his contract at Alaves and after leading them to the final of the Copa del Rey, he believes he is owed a significant payment.
Alaves have issued a statement saying that there was no such agreement in place and as far as they are concerned, they do not feel like they owe Pellegrino or any of his staff any money whatsoever.
Saints fans will be hoping that this issue does not become something that distracts Pellegrino during his day job.
