Southampton are yet to receive an offer for Virgil Van Dijk, according to a report in the Daily Echo.
The report claims that Southampton have not had a single bid come in for Van Dijk this summer, despite mountains of speculation in papers over the past month.
Liverpool have been prominently touted with the defender but were forced to back down after Southampton reported them to the Premier League.
The Merseyside club were forced to issue an apology and ‘end their interest’ in Van Dijk after being accused of tapping the Dutch defender up.
It was reported that Van Dijk met Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to discuss a move to the Anfield side, without Southampton’s permission.
This has forced Van Dijk’s hand, who has now requested to leave the club. However, despite Van Dijk’s transfer request earlier this week, Southampton are holding firm on their stance that he will not be sold.
