Southampton have reportedly failed to agree terms with free agent Lukas Raeder.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the towering goalkeeper has been training with Mauricio Pellegrino’s side in recent times, as he looks to get himself back into the top flight.
Raeder is claimed to have had two spells with Saints over a ten-day period, and the club were open to signing him on a permanent deal in order to strengthen their goalkeeping options.

However, the two parties have failed to agree on a contract on the south coast, and Raeder is now looking around for a new club, with Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle both linked by the Daily Mail.
Raeder, who was once at Bayern Munich, was released from his deal at Vitoria Setubal out in Portugal this summer, and appears to have his sights set on a move to the Premier League.
However, it looks as though Southampton won’t be his next destination.
