The club have announced that Forster has signed an extension to his contract, taking his deal with the club to 2022.
This comes just over one year after his last contract extension. Forster signed a five-year deal with the club in May 2016, alongside James Ward-Prowse, but has committed his future to Southampton once again.
The England international was an ever-present for Southampton in the Premier League last season, helping the club to an eighth-placed finish.
He was also a key part of Southampton’s League Cup squad, reaching the final of the competition before losing out to Manchester United in the final.
Forster had a strong end to the season – including a penalty save against Liverpool to earn Southampton a point at Anfield.
