Southampton Football Club have confirmed that young goalkeeper Harry Lewis has penned a new three-year contract.

Signed from Shrewsbury in the summer of 2015, Lewis has been a prominent figure in Saints’ Under-23 set-up and went on to feature on three occasions under Claude Puel last term. He made his Saints debut in the 2-2 draw away at Norwich City in the FA Cup.

Lewis joins Dundee United on a season-long loan as he looks to build up his first-team experience at his young age.

Southampton announced that Stuart Taylor had penned a new one-year deal last night, which indicates that he will be the third choice goalkeeper next term, unless Paulo Gazzaniga plays a part.
