Saints reportedly set to meet with Eupen over Onyekuru move
Southampton have jumped to the front of the queue to sign Nigerian wonderkid Henry Onyekuru, with representatives from Saints set to meet Eupen over a potential move.
According to an exclusive report from Own Goal Nigeria, Saints are looking to make their move for the £7 million-rated youngster, who has been linked with a plethora of big clubs over the last couple of weeks.
Celtic were reportedly the front-runners in the chase for Onyekuru, having made a bid for the Eupen forward back in January worth £1 million, but it looks as though Saints are leading the chase to sign him.
The report states that Onyekuru specifically requested Eupen to host negotiations with the south coast outfit after his side’s play-offs, with Claude Puel stated to be keen to have the Nigerian ready for pre-season if talks are successful.
It’s also claimed that Eupen could push for more than £7m and would be keen to include a sell-on percentage in any deal.
