Chelsea want to re-sign Ryan Bertrand this summer to add defensive reinforcement ahead of their Champions League campaign next season.
According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea have added their former left-back alongside Saints central defender Virgil van Dijk to their summer transfer targets.
The Premier League leaders are light in the defensive department and will be hoping to add to their current squad this summer.
Conte is thought to be a huge fan of the defender, whose attacking style makes him a perfect fit for the current 3-4-3 system at Stamford Bridge.
Bertrand came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge and moved to Southampton permanently in 2015 after enjoying a successful loan spell there.
The left-back has gone on to flourish and become one of the league’s best full-backs.
Bertrand enjoyed a successful time during his Chelsea senior career, winning the Champions League, in which he made his debut in the final of the competition, becoming the only player to do so in the history of the competition.
