Celtic to rival Rangers in Wilson pursuit
Southampton director of recruitment Ross Wilson is attracting plenty of interest from out in Scotland, with Celtic now joining Rangers in their pursuit of the Scotsman.
According to an exclusive report from the Express this morning, Wilson has emerged as one of Celtic’s three main targets to take up a role as a key scout.
It was reported last weekend that Wilson had been interviewed by Rangers, with the possibility of making him their director of football in mind.
However, he may now be interested in joining the leading club in Scotland, given their desire to replace John Park with sufficient quality.
Wilson joined Saints in March 2015 and has since played a part in a lot of success in terms of talent spotting and recruitment, but a move away from the south coast and back to his homeland could be on the cards.
Former Southampton man Paul Mitchell is also on Celtic’s radar for the role.
