Cheltenham Town are plotting a loan swoop for Southampton youngster Olufela Olomola.

According to an exclusive report from Gloucestershire Live, the promising Saints forward has been catching the eye of the League Two side, who are looking to move in for the Nigerian and offer him some valuable first-team opportunities.

Robins manager Gary Johnson is actively searching the transfer market as he looks to find a new attacker for his Cheltenham side, and it looks as though Olomola has been identified as the perfect fit.

The 19-year-old has been in superb form for the Under-23 side this season and his prolific goal scoring form didn’t go unnoticed.

Olomola was handed his first ever senior appearance by Claude Puel off the bench in Southampton’s 1-0 win in the fourth round of the EFL Cup against Sunderland.

The young forward would surely benefit from regular first-team football and a platform to build from in League Two.
