Southampton are reportedly leading the chase to sign Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini.
According to a report from Rai Sports, cited by Sport Witness, Saints have lodged an €18 million offer for the Italian international, as well as €2 million in add-ons.
Gabbiadini has been heavily linked with Saints in recent times and it looks as though they have stolen a march on their fellow Premier League admirers of the striker, landing themselves in pole position to bring him to St Mary’s.

Although he has found regular football hard to come by this season for Napoli, and ever since his move from Sampdoria, he has hit a bit of form recently and has been delivering the goods in Serie A.
Saints could be scouting the market for potential striking options this month as Claude Puel looks to kick on and bolster his reinforcements ahead of what promises to be a highly interesting second half to the Premier League season.
