Southampton are getting closer and closer to sealing a deal for Napoli attacker Manolo Gabbiadini but are still just short of the Italian club’s valuation.
According to a report this evening from Football Italia, Southampton have stated that they are willing to cough up a considerably large sum of £13 million for the Italy international, and they are joined by West Brom in their initial offer for the forward.
However, Napoli are claimed to be keen on getting a substantial amount from the former Sampdoria man, with the Serie A side holding firm on their £19 million price tag for Gabbiadini.

Saints are in desperate need of inspiration when it comes to goal scoring ahead of the remainder of the season and it would come as no surprise to see them sign a striker to help fix the attacking woes.
However, it looks as though they will need to negotiate a deal for Gabbiadini further.
